How hard is it to cancel Leaseweb?

Leaseweb scores 81/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the NL — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-18 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Leaseweb contracts renew automatically for the same period as the initial contract term, and you cancel online from the Customer Portal; you cannot cancel while the contract period is still active. The end date is calculated from your contract term and notice period, and you receive an automated cancellation confirmation with the correct end dates. Notice periods are documented (about 1 hour for terms up to 3 months and about 1 month for terms of 6 months or longer), and a cancellation can be reverted from the portal before the end date. The cancellation documentation does not state any refund terms.

How to cancel Leaseweb

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://kb.leaseweb.com/billing/contracts
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. Leaseweb has no pause option. Contracts auto-renew, and you cancel from the Customer Portal so the service ends at the contract end date after the applicable notice period.
  • Account/data deletion: Cancellation is done from the Leaseweb Customer Portal; the end date is calculated from the contract term and notice period and confirmed by an automated email. A cancellation can be reverted from the portal before the end date.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
