LastPass subscriptions are cancelled online via the vault by navigating to Account Settings > My Account and clicking Cancel, which stops auto-renewal but retains Premium access through the end of the paid billing period. The cancellation is self-serve and multi-step within the account dashboard. All payments are final and non-refundable per the Terms of Service; no prorated refunds are issued for unused time. No pause or freeze option is available, and account data can be permanently deleted separately at lastpass.com/delete_account.php.

How to cancel LastPass

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://support.lastpass.com/help/how-do-i-cancel-automatic-renewal-for-lastpass-premium-lp010116
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. LastPass does not offer any documented pause or freeze option for subscriptions.
  • Account/data deletion: Users can permanently and irreversibly delete their account at lastpass.com/delete_account.php, which removes all vault data (sites, secure notes, form fills) immediately with no recovery possible. LastPass recommends cancelling the subscription before deleting the account; if subscription is not cancelled first, users must contact support. Deletion is possible even without knowing the master password. https://lastpass.com/delete_account.php

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
