How hard is it to cancel KPN?

KPN subscriptions can be cancelled online (via a dedicated form requiring KPN ID login, separate forms for home and mobile), by phone (0800-0402, Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat 08:00–17:00), or by registered mail (Postbus 235, 2400 AE Alphen aan den Rijn). The notice period is 1 month after the contract end date; after the initial fixed term, subscriptions auto-renew monthly and can be cancelled with 1 month notice. Early termination before contract end requires payment of an exit fee (afkoopsom); no fee applies upon the death of the account holder. No prorated refund terms are published explicitly, but outstanding device payments must be settled before mobile cancellation completes. The online form is a multi-step process that may be followed by a KPN call-back, meaning it does not constitute a single-click self-serve cancel; phone contact is presented as the fastest confirmation channel.

- Pause/freeze: not offered. KPN does not offer a formal pause or freeze. A reduced 'Tijdelijk Pakket' (Temporary Package, €25/month, max 12 months) is available for home internet/TV subscribers who need a temporary downgrade, but full subscription pause is not available. Mobile subscriptions cannot be paused at all.
- Account/data deletion: Customers can delete their KPN ID account via MijnKPN (Profile > Login Details > Delete Account). For full personal data erasure (right to be forgotten under GDPR/AVG), customers must submit a written request to KPN Klantreacties referencing 'Rechten AVG', including name, address, phone number(s), and a masked copy of ID.
