How hard is it to cancel IONOS?
IONOS scores 73/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), phone, email.
IONOS allows cancellation online via the account dashboard (Contracts & Subscriptions > Cancel contract), by phone at +1 484 424 7392, or by email to [email protected]. Cancellation must be submitted at least one month before the end of the minimum contract period; otherwise it rolls into the next contract period. On the cancellation effective date IONOS issues a final invoice with a refund of pre-paid basic charges, but advance payments for add-ons and additional domains are non-refundable. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies if the customer is dissatisfied within the first month of a product.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
