How hard is it to cancel Hyperoptic?
Hyperoptic scores 94/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the GB — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via phone, online (self-serve).
Hyperoptic requires 30 days' notice of any cancellation, including for monthly rolling packages; alternatively customers switching providers can use One Touch Switch, where the new provider arranges the cancellation. Customers on 12- or 24-month contracts who leave before the end of their commitment pay cancellation charges for each remaining month plus any outstanding charges (per the Price Guide Book). The Hyperhub router and any hotspot/battery back-up equipment remain Hyperoptic property and must be returned using a pre-paid label requested via a My Account support ticket. The final bill is issued on the normal billing date the month after termination, prorated to the package and termination date.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
