How hard is it to cancel Hootsuite?
Hootsuite scores 69/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
Self-serve subscribers cancel online via Account & Settings > Manage my subscription > Cancel subscription; Hootsuite recommends cancelling at least 5 business days before the next billing date. Annual plan holders are locked into the full 12-month term — downgrade requests do not take effect until the term ends. No refunds are issued for mid-term cancellations on Self-Serve plans; access continues through the end of the paid period. Business and Enterprise customers must contact their customer success manager to cancel.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
