HelloTalk VIP and course subscriptions can only be cancelled through the respective mobile app store — iOS App Store (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions) or Google Play (Subscriptions and Services > Manage). Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to prevent automatic renewal; the subscription remains active until the period ends with no pro-rated refund. HelloTalk does not process refunds directly; users must request refunds through their payment platform (Apple, Google Play, WeChat, or AliPay), and subscription cancellation is required before submitting any refund request.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
