Last reviewed 2026-06-16 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Gymbox cancellation is primarily self-serve in the GYMBOX app, which displays the member's earliest possible cancellation date; if the app is unavailable, members use a Member Services contact form. After the minimum term the membership continues on a rolling monthly basis and requires one full calendar month's notice taking effect from the 1st of the following month. A 14-day cooling-off period applies to online, phone, app and presale sign-ups, giving a full refund of all fees including the joining fee (one free visit allowed, extra visits charged as day passes). Freezes are available for 1 to 3 months but carry a £25/month admin fee and are blocked during the notice period.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
