How hard is it to cancel Google One?

Cancel anytime online (Google One app or one.google.com -> Settings -> Cancel membership); benefits last to the end of the billing cycle, then you drop to free 15 GB. You can DOWNGRADE instead of cancelling. Storage is generally non-refundable, though some regions allow an immediate end with a partial refund.

How to cancel Google One

• Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause, but you can DOWNGRADE to a smaller paid tier instead of cancelling; cancelling drops you to the free 15 GB at the end of the billing cycle.
• Account/data deletion: Cancelling drops you to free 15 GB; if you are OVER quota you can't send/receive Gmail or back up Photos, and after 2+ years over quota your content MAY BE DELETED. Full account/data deletion is separate via Google account settings (export first with Takeout).
