Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade D

Gold's Gym requires members to cancel in person at their home gym location or by certified mail (to Gold's Gym / ABC Financial Services, P.O. Box 6800, Sherwood, AR 72124), with at least 30 days' written notice; billing continues through the notice period. A small number of franchise locations offer online cancellation through the MyiClubOnline portal, but this is not a universal option. Month-to-month members face no cancellation fee with proper notice, while installment-plan members who cancel early generally owe a termination fee of approximately $125 unless they qualify for a medical, military, or relocation exemption (move of 25+ miles). Prorated refunds are generally not offered for unused days in the final billing cycle.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
