Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Ghost(Pro) subscriptions are cancelled online: the account owner logs into Ghost Admin, navigates to Ghost(Pro) → Billing, and clicks the red 'Cancel account' link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, after which the site and all account data are permanently deleted. Ghost explicitly states all sales are final and no refunds are provided for any products or services. No pause or freeze option exists.

How to cancel Ghost

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://ghost.org/help/manage-your-subscription/
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is offered for Ghost(Pro) subscriptions.
  • Account/data deletion: Upon cancellation, the site and account are permanently deleted at the end of the current billing cycle. A complete export (including images, themes, and files beyond what the standard export covers) must be requested via [email protected] before cancellation, as the action is irreversible. https://ghost.org/help/manage-your-subscription/

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
