How hard is it to cancel GetResponse?

GetResponse scores 80/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

GetResponse subscriptions are cancelled entirely online via Profile > Billing > Cancel subscription; cancellation is not available through the mobile app, phone, or email. Cancellation takes effect immediately upon confirmation, so GetResponse recommends cancelling the day before the next renewal date to avoid losing unused days. GetResponse does not issue refunds under any circumstances, treating all customers equally regardless of when in the billing cycle cancellation occurs. Before final cancellation, users are offered a one-time retention choice: a 60-day account freeze, one free month (monthly plans) or two free months (annual plans), or a plan downgrade.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
