Fortum (Finland) grants consumers a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (peruuttamisoikeus) for electricity contracts concluded online/at a distance, counted from the day the contract is made, with no reason required; it is exercised by notifying Fortum before the deadline by post, by the optional online withdrawal-form template, or electronically, giving name, address, phone, email, and a clear statement of intent. Ordinary termination (irtisanominen) of an open-ended contract is done by phone to customer service on 0200 19000; a fixed-term (maaraaikainen) contract cannot be ended before its term expires. The page directs consumers to customer service for notice-period, exit-fee, and refund specifics on termination.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
