How hard is it to cancel Fitness First UK?
Fitness First UK scores 77/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the UK — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in person, phone, email.
Cancellation is primarily handled online via the Member Area (/members/my-membership/cancel-membership/), with alternatives via the online contact form, club phone, or in-person at the club. One full calendar month's notice is required; for example, to end at 30 June, notice must be given by 1 June. A 7-day cooling-off period applies at joining (full refund unless the member has visited 3+ times). Early termination within a minimum-term contract incurs a settlement fee equal to the monthly discount received multiplied by months already used; no fee applies for medical, redundancy, or relocation (5+ miles) with supporting evidence.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
