How hard is it to cancel Etisalat (e&)?

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade C

Etisalat (e&) customers can cancel postpaid mobile accounts via the e& UAE app or website virtual assistant, by calling 101 or 800 6665, or by visiting an e& store in person; SMS cancellation applies only to individual add-on packs. Full account cancellation requires clearing all exit charges first: early termination before the minimum commitment period incurs a fee equal to one month's rental or AED 1,000, whichever is lower (contract plans carry per-month exit fees). No refunds are given on prepaid or Internet Calling Plan rentals once cancelled. Customers leaving the UAE are advised to initiate cancellation at least 48 hours before departure, and a final bill may follow to capture any outstanding roaming charges.

Data is retained as long as necessary for business and regulatory purposes; the right to erasure does not apply where processing is required to establish or defend legal claims. https://www.etisalat.ae/en/contact-us/privacy-notice.html

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
