esure car insurance is cancelled by phone (0345 045 1000); online self-service cancellation is not offered, only self-service policy changes. There is a 14-day cooling-off period from policy start or receipt of documents. Cancelling within cooling-off costs a £29 fee (plus a charge for time on cover); cancelling after cooling-off costs £67 during the first period of cover and £36 in subsequent periods, with a pro-rata refund of unused premium minus those fees. No refund if a claim has been made. Fees shown apply to policies bought or renewed on or after 28 February 2025. Policies auto-renew unless opted out.
