How hard is it to cancel Engie?

Engie France residential energy contracts can be terminated at any time without penalty (no fixed-term lock-in for standard offers). For distance/doorstep contracts, consumers have a 14-day legal right of withdrawal (droit de retractation) counted from the day after signature, exercised by an explicit unambiguous statement such as a registered letter, email, or the optional withdrawal form, with no fee or justification required. Beyond the 14 days the contract can still be ended free of charge; disconnection occurs within about one month of receiving the request. There is no early-termination fee, but the consumer remains liable for the subscription and energy actually consumed up to the termination date. When switching supplier, the new supplier handles the cancellation of the Engie contract.
