Eight Sleep scores 51/100 (grade D) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a poorly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via in-app, email, phone.

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade D

Eight Sleep's Autopilot membership requires a 12-month minimum commitment but can be cancelled at any time through the Eight Sleep app (Profile > Autopilot plan management), by emailing [email protected], or by calling support. Subscriptions auto-renew annually; upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the current billing period with no prorated refunds disclosed. Account deactivation (data deletion) requires contacting Customer Support, after which identifiable data is removed from active systems on an automated schedule.

How to cancel Eight Sleep

  • Channels: in-app, email, phone
  • Official cancellation page: https://www.eightsleep.com/app-terms-conditions/
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No membership pause or freeze option is documented. A 7-day payment pause exists only for rental plan returns during the shipping window, not for standard Autopilot subscriptions.
  • Account/data deletion: Account deactivation requires contacting Customer Support ([email protected]). Upon deactivation, identifying data (email, name, photos) is removed from active systems; backup copies are purged on an automated schedule and may persist briefly in archives. De-identified data may be retained. https://www.eightsleep.com/app-terms-conditions/

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
