How hard is it to cancel EE?
EE scores 74/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the UK — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, phone, in person.
Mobile customers can cancel online via the My EE account portal (myaccount.ee.co.uk/app/leave-ee) or by texting PAC/STAC; broadband and TV require a phone call to 0800 079 8586. A minimum 30 days' notice is required for all services. Customers who cancel before the end of their minimum term face a Remaining Contract Charge equal to outstanding monthly payments minus a small early-receipt discount and any wholesale cost savings. Unused prepaid line rental is credited on the final bill and any credit balance is refunded automatically around eight days after the final bill, by bank transfer (Direct Debit) or cheque.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
