How hard is it to cancel EA Play?

EA Play scores 72/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, phone.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

EA Play can be cancelled online via the EA account portal (PC), through the EA app, or via the platform's subscription management page (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam); Epic Games Store subscribers must contact Epic Support directly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access and benefits continue until then. EA Play memberships are not refundable for US customers; a full refund is only available for certain non-US regions (EEA, UK, Brazil, Korea, etc.) if cancelled within 14 days without using any benefits. No pause or freeze option exists.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
