How hard is it to cancel DITO Telecommunity?
DITO Telecommunity scores 46/100 (grade D) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the PH — a poorly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via phone, in person, email.
Postpaid subscribers must give at least 30 days written notice to terminate, both during and after the contract period, along with payment of all outstanding charges. Early termination during the contract period incurs a pre-termination fee equal to the monthly service fee multiplied by remaining months. Security deposits are refunded within 60 days of written request after deducting any amounts owed, and unclaimed deposits are forfeited after one year. Cancellation must be initiated via phone (hotline 185), email ([email protected]), or in person at a DITO Experience Store — there is no self-serve online cancellation portal.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
