Customers can request contract termination (reziliere) by submitting a written request via email to [email protected], through Digi's online contact form (subject: 'Reziliere servicii'), by phone, or in person at a designated Digi service point (punct de prezenta) that handles rezilieri — no fully self-serve one-click online cancellation exists. Termination takes effect from the 1st day of the month following the month in which the request was registered, effectively requiring up to a 30-day notice period. There are no punitive cancellation fees under ANCOM rules and Law 193/2000, but customers who cancel before the minimum contract period (typically 12–24 months) must repay the value of any promotional benefits received (free months, free installation, discounted rates). Rented equipment (router, ONT, decoder, remote, power adapter) must be returned at a Digi service point at the time of the request or within days 1–7 of the following month.
