How hard is it to cancel Coupang Play?

Coupang Play is bundled with the Coupang Wow Membership (월정액 멤버십); to cancel Coupang Play, users must cancel the Wow Membership via the Coupang app (My Coupang > Settings > Wow Membership > Cancel > Complete Cancellation) or online — a simplified 2-step process introduced in December 2025. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, with service remaining accessible until that date. Refunds are only available if no membership benefits (including any Coupang Play viewing) have been used in the billing period; once any benefit is used, that month's fee is non-refundable. For the standalone Sports Pass add-on, cancellation must be processed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and refunds are possible only if no Sports Pass content has been viewed.

Cancelling the Wow Membership first is required before account deletion. Basic member data is removed; legally required records (order history, payment data) are retained for the statutory period.
