Constellation residential customers cancel by contacting Customer Care by phone (e.g. 888-900-7052 in Texas, 855-465-1244 other states) or in writing/electronically; there is no online self-serve cancel. Fixed-rate plans carry a $150 early termination fee, but customers can cancel fee-free within a 90-day Guarantee Period, on a change of residence, or if no longer eligible under their utility's residential rate class; monthly variable plans have no termination fee. Customers have a 3-day right of rescission after receiving the Disclosure Statement, with no charge to exercise it. These terms apply across Constellation's deregulated multi-state residential footprint; exact details are in the state-specific Disclosure Statement and Contract Summary.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
