How hard is it to cancel Codecademy?
Codecademy scores 84/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
Subscribers can cancel at any time online via Account Settings > Manage Payments; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle with continued access until then. Codecademy issues no prorated or partial refunds for any subscription cancellation; the no-refund rule is stated in both the Help Center and Terms of Service, with a narrow exception for plans that expressly state otherwise or where required by law. Monthly subscribers are offered a pause option (1-3 months, no charge) before completing cancellation; annual plans are ineligible for pause. Cancelling a subscription does not delete the account, a separate deletion request must be submitted through the Privacy Center.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
