How hard is it to cancel Clue?
Clue scores 69/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via in-app, email, online (self-serve).
Clue Plus subscriptions purchased via iOS must be cancelled through Apple's App Store subscription settings, and Android purchases through Google Play; web subscriptions purchased at helloclue.com must be cancelled by contacting the payment processor Paddle directly via email ([email protected]) or their chat portal. Cancellation requires at least 24 hours notice before the end of the current subscription period, after which access continues through the end of the paid term. Refunds for web purchases are handled solely by Paddle; app-store purchases follow Apple or Google refund rules. Deleting the Clue app or account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

- Channels: in-app, email, online (self-serve)
- Official cancellation page: https://support.helloclue.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005209523-How-can-I-cancel-my-subscription
- Pause/freeze: not offered. No subscription pause or freeze option is documented. Cancellation preserves access through the end of the current billing cycle.
- Account/data deletion: Users can delete their Clue account (and all associated health data) directly within the app via More Menu > Support > Account Questions > Delete account. Account deletion requires cancelling any active Clue Plus subscription first. Support can also wipe historical data without full account deletion upon request. https://support.helloclue.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415640538004-How-can-I-delete-my-Clue-account

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
