How hard is it to cancel CleanMyMac (MacPaw)?
CleanMyMac (MacPaw) scores 75/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.
CleanMyMac subscriptions purchased from the MacPaw Store can be cancelled online by signing into my.macpaw.com or via the Subscription Manager (entering activation code or email); App Store purchases must be cancelled through Apple's own subscription management. Cancellation takes effect immediately with no required notice period — access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which most features lock. Refunds are available only on the initial subscription purchase: within 14 days for monthly-or-shorter plans started after 23 Nov 2024, and within 30 days for all other customers. Renewals are non-refundable, and App Store purchasers must seek refunds through Apple.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
