How hard is it to cancel Cineworld Unlimited?

Cineworld Unlimited scores 65/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the UK — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via email, online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade C

Cineworld Unlimited members must complete a minimum 3-month contract term before cancelling. Cancellation is initiated by emailing [email protected] or submitting an online contact form — there is no self-serve cancel button and app-based cancellation is explicitly not yet available. For monthly Direct Debit payers, at least 14 days' notice before the next payment date is required to avoid an additional charge; for recurring card payers the notice window is 10 days. A 14-day cooling-off right applies from the date of purchase, with refunds potentially reduced if the membership has been used.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
