To cancel, click 'Cancel Plan' under your active plan in Settings > Billing. This disables auto-renewal; the paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then automatically downgrades to the Free plan. Add-ons remain active until the billing period ends and are then removed. Downgrading mid-cycle triggers an immediate plan change with a prorated credit applied to future invoices. Cancelling an individual add-on removes it immediately and credits the account for remaining days. Fees are generally non-refundable; the only stated exception is if Chatbase commits an uncured material breach, in which case unused prepaid fees for the remainder of the period are refunded. Billing disputes must be raised within 60 days of the first erroneous statement. Alternative cancellation channel: email [email protected] (Chatbase must confirm in writing).

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
