How hard is it to cancel Channel 4+ (ad-free)?
Channel 4+ (ad-free) scores 85/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the GB — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), app-store.
Channel 4 is free with registration, but offers a paid ad-free tier (Channel 4+) carrying a one-time 7-day free trial. Channel 4+ is cancelled self-serve in the Account Settings area on channel4.com when bought directly; subscriptions taken through Apple, Google Play or Amazon must be cancelled in those stores. Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period, with access continuing until then. Channel 4 does not refund the unused part of a period once cancelled mid-cycle, except under the statutory 14-day cooling-off right. The trial auto-converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
