How hard is it to cancel Cancel Atlas?
Cancel Atlas scores 90/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.
We rate cancellation friction, so we hold ourselves to the same rubric (this is our own self-assessment). Cancel any paid plan (Data & API, Monitoring, or Backer tiers) at any time, yourself, via the Stripe billing portal (enter your email → Cancel subscription) or by emailing [email protected] — no retention call, no chat gauntlet. Cancellation stops all future charges and you keep full access to the end of the period you already paid for. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable with no proration, but a genuine billing error (duplicate, charge after a timely cancellation, unauthorized) is always refunded; EU/UK consumers additionally have a 14-day right to cancel with a proportionate refund. Checkout discloses the price, billing frequency, first-charge date, that the plan auto-renews until cancelled, and how to cancel, and renewal reminders are sent. Our promise: cancellation is at least as easy as sign-up was.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
