How hard is it to cancel Better Stack?
Better Stack scores 51/100 (grade D) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a poorly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email, phone.
To cancel, navigate to account settings by clicking your account name (top right) > 'Your account' > scroll down > 'Permanently remove your account'. This is a self-serve in-app deletion that is immediate and irreversible. The Terms of Service state users can also simply discontinue using the service. No dedicated 'cancel subscription' page exists — the delete-account path is the cancellation mechanism. Better Stack offers a 60-day money-back guarantee (contact [email protected] to claim it). Outside the 60-day window, the ToS states Better Stack has 'no obligation to provide a refund of any amounts previously paid.' No notice period is required. No explicit disclosure of when the subscription ends relative to billing cycle. Email support available at [email protected]; phone at +1 (628) 900-3830.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
