A cancellation requested by the insured cannot be made more than 30 days in advance, and belairdirect normally gives at least 30 days' notice before it changes or cancels a policy at renewal. If more premium has been paid than is owed, the difference is refunded on cancellation; however a minimum premium shown on the Certificate of Automobile Insurance is not refundable, and an early-cancellation (short-rate) reduction may apply.
