Avira subscriptions can be cancelled online by signing into my.avira.com, navigating to the Subscriptions tab, and selecting Cancel Subscription Renewal; phone, live chat, and webform support are also available, and app store purchases must be cancelled via the respective store. The paid subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period before reverting to a free tier. Annual plans receive a full refund within 60 days of purchase; after 60 days, a pro-rated refund applies in Germany, Netherlands, UK, and Quebec only. Monthly plans receive a full refund within 14 days of initial purchase; monthly renewal charges are non-refundable. Auto-renewal billing occurs up to 35 days before annual renewal and up to 5 days before monthly renewal, so cancellation must happen before those windows.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
