How hard is it to cancel AVG?
AVG scores 78/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, phone, email.
AVG subscriptions can be cancelled online via your AVG Account (id.avg.com) by clicking Unsubscribe, or through the App Store/Google Play for mobile purchases; phone and chat support are also available. Cancellation must occur before the next billing date — for 1-3 year subscriptions, billing is triggered up to 35 days before renewal. Upon cancellation, access continues until the end of the current paid period with no refund for remaining time. AVG offers a 30-day money-back guarantee (100% refund) for subscriptions purchased directly from AVG or Google Play; purchases via Apple App Store or third-party resellers are not covered.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
