How hard is it to cancel ANWB?
ANWB scores 83/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the NL — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), phone, post.
ANWB lets members cancel (opzeggen) via the Mijn ANWB online account, by phone (088-2692222), or in writing by post to the Leden Service Center in Den Haag; phone is required for members with partner benefits or youth discounts. After the first contract period the membership can be cancelled daily with one month's notice (opzegtermijn). For the Wegenwacht Service, ANWB calculates any overpaid contribution and refunds it; for the general membership, refunds of paid contribution apply only in specific cases such as death or moving abroad. Members can also downgrade to a basic paid membership instead of cancelling.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
