How hard is it to cancel AIS (Advanced Info Service)?
AIS (Advanced Info Service) scores 31/100 (grade F) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the TH — an opaque or largely undisclosed cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via in-app, phone, in person.
To cancel (terminate) a postpaid mobile number, customers must visit an AIS Shop in person with a government-issued ID (with religion, ethnicity, and blood type fields redacted as of September 2025). Add-on packages can be cancelled via the myAIS app (Package menu > Cancel package) or via USSD codes. No notice period or refund/proration policy is publicly disclosed for postpaid termination. AIS recommends transferring the number to another person as an alternative to outright cancellation.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
