How hard is it to cancel Admiral?

Admiral scores 72/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the UK — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via phone, online (self-serve), in-app, email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Admiral UK car insurance can be cancelled by phone (0333 220 2000), through the MyAccount online portal or Admiral app, or by email/web form. Within the 14-day statutory cooling-off period, a £25 cancellation fee applies and a pro-rata refund is issued for unused days; after the cooling-off period, the cancellation fee rises to £55 (standard) and a pro-rata refund is paid for remaining days unless a claim has been made, in which case no refund is given but the fee still applies. The UK CMA auto-renewal guidance is reflected in Admiral's online cancellation flow available through MyAccount.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
