How hard is it to cancel ActiveCampaign?

ActiveCampaign scores 73/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

ActiveCampaign can be cancelled online via Settings > Billing & Upgrade > Cancel my account for most plan types; users on 'Commit annually pay monthly' plans must contact the Customer Experience team by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period (monthly or annual), meaning no mid-term exit for annual subscribers. No refunds are issued except under a 30-day money-back guarantee available to new customers only (cancellation and refund request must both be submitted within 30 days of first purchase). Higher-tier plans may require completing a 1:1 session with the Success team as part of the cancellation flow.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
